Your Office Is Cool. What About the Air You Share?
Aira by PFCShare
You walk into a meeting room. The air conditioning is on, the chairs are ready and coffee has arrived. Everything seems covered. But one question rarely makes the agenda: how are we caring for the air in this space?
A comfortable temperature is one part of the picture
The EPA office guide distinguishes thermal comfort from other indoor-air factors. It recommends attention to pollutant sources, ventilation and maintenance, keeping vents clear and reporting concerns to building management.
Make a review you can discuss
Before requesting quotes, prepare a one-page note. The aim is to bring clear context rather than a conclusion made in advance:
- The space: an enclosed meeting room, reception or open work area? Record its dimensions and usual use.
- The observation: describe the concern, where it occurs and when you notice it.
- The responsibility: identify who coordinates maintenance and who approves changes.
- The routine: choose someone to follow up on answers and the next step.
For example, “we want to review the afternoon meeting room” starts a more useful conversation than “we need the most powerful device”. It brings together the people who know the building and those who use the space every day.
Where does PFC Air fit?
