When Should You Change Your PFC Cartridge? Start with These Details

A sip of clarity · From Aquon by PFC

The day you start using a new filter is easy to remember. Months later, the date you first used it may have gotten lost among messages, purchases, and to-dos.

That's why the best time to organize maintenance is when you start using it.

Keep track of three things: the model, the date you started using it, and the matching replacement.

As a guide, PFC's FAQs list these intervals:

Product Published approximate interval
Faucet filter 2–3 months
Filtered pitcher 2–3 months
Shower filter 4–6 months
Filtered bottle 4–6 months
Dispenser 6–8 months

These ranges are useful for planning. Your model's instructions and any volume limit should guide when you change it; usage and water conditions matter too. Guidelines published by PFC.

Set your reminder ahead of the expected date so you have time to get the replacement. If several people use the system, share the information with whoever is in charge of looking after it.

Avoid basing all your tracking on how the cartridge looks. Its appearance is no substitute for the maintenance instructions.

If you don't remember when you installed it, gather whatever information you have and check with our team. A photo of the label can help identify the product.

At PFC, we offer a line of replacements to go along with our filters. Find the one for your system and get your next change organized.
